Obama's NSA overhaul may require phone carriers to store more data

From Reuters:

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama's plan for overhauling the National Security Agency's phone surveillance program could force carriers to collect and store customer data that they are not now legally obliged to keep, according to U.S. officials.
One complication arises from the popularity of flat-rate or unlimited calling plans, which are used by the vast majority of Americans.
While the Federal Communications Commission requires phone companies to retain for 18 months records on "toll" or long-distance calls, the rule's application is vague for subscribers of unlimited phone plans because they do not get billed for individual calls.

Barak H. Bush

From RT:

Obama on Syria vs. Bush on Iraq

From RT: Nobel Peace Prize recipient, President Obama, is calling for military action in Syria. This is the same former senator who voted against the war in Iraq. Now, Obama is pursuing military intervention in the sovereign country that borders Iraq. And his calls are so very similar to his predecessor, whom he heavily criticized and won the peace prize for. --------------------

Obama promotes "prolonged detention."

From YouTube

In this not-to-be-missed speech, Obama talks about his radical idea of "prolonged detention" and explains its purpose.

In the words of Rachel Maddow (commentator): "This was a beautiful speech from President Obama today, with patriotic, poetic, even moving language about the rule of law and the constitution... AND one of the most radical proposals for defying the constitution that we have ever heard made to the American people."

Oh, the irony.
